Biography of Katie Evans
Katie Evans is an accomplished author, entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and corporate trainer, known for her dynamic storytelling, engaging humor, and passion for personal development. With a career spanning over three decades, she began her journey as a certified hypnotherapist in 1987, traveling across the United States and Canada to empower individuals to overcome their fears and lead more fulfilling lives.
Katie came to Unity in 1986, at Unity of Seattle, and has been a student and teacher of Unity practices since then. She has presented to Unity Centers in Western Washington, and Arizona. She believes that laughter is a transformative teaching tool and incorporates it seamlessly into her work.
In 2018, Katie faced a personal health challenge when she was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer, which led to the discovery of stage 1 lung cancer. Rather than identifying as a survivor,
Katie proudly calls herself a “life thriver,” embracing each day with joy, resilience, and optimism.
Her corporate training expertise is in: "Mind Over Malice: Rewiring Your Response to Bullies at Work" and “Power, Presence, and Pay: Effective Negotiation Tactics for Women.”
She resides in Everett, Washington, and enjoys traveling, her volunteer work, golfing, and hanging out with family and her beloved Shih Tzu, Chipper.
