Dear Friends,
In 2010 we cross the threshold not only into a New Year, but a new decade! As I step into the role of Senior Minister of Unity Church of Olympia, our ministry enters a new era as well. Having these milestones arrive concurrently is quite auspicious and foretells great things aheard. How wonderful!!
I am delighted to be here with you! During this time of new beginnings, my top three intentions for our church are: 1) to expand our Sacred Field, the consciousness of positive expectancy through which the Holy Spirit moves with grace and wisdom; 2) to co-create inspiring Sunday Celebration Services that generate a collective experience to God's presence; 3) to create multiple avenues (including my blog: at www.todaystransformingtimes.blogspot.com and e-mail at olyrev@earthlink.net) for us to become better acquainted. I delight in the discovery of the love in your heart, your God-given gifts and attributes and marvelous stories of Spirit expressing through you!
During our first 90 Days, much of our work has been to get to know one another, build relationships and provide me the space to begin to see how things work at Unity Church of Olympia. Of course, I've needed to settle in and I thank you for your support in time, talent and treasure!! Cultivating the seeds of relationship building, and tilling and weeding the soil of how things work will continue for years to come, but new seeds are being planted!
Our Youth and Music Ministries are shining with wonderful activities planned. Our OU Men and Pastoral Care Team are reorganizing. We celebrate a successful Auction and FUNdraiser at the Capital Playhouse. Our Council is preparing for our Annual Meeting in May. Season for Non-Violence is underway and we are engaging our first all church activity in Spiritual Social Action, an Evening of Compassion! And, yes, Easter is just around the corner.
Thank you, God, for Divine Order and the continued unfoldment and beautiful stoy of "Our Awakening" as Unity Church of Olympia.
Grateful for God's Glorious Good,
Rev. Deborah
