Meet Our Teachers

Youth and Family Ministries Staff and Volunteers

At Unity of Olympia, we see children as God's shining light and we honor each of their unique spiritual journeys. Our dedicated teachers, assistants and staff are here to care for, nurture and respect each individual child as they grow and discover their own way in this world. We are proud of our diverse group of YFM educators and each of their special skill sets they bring to the program. We are always looking for volunteers as well. If you are interested in working with our youth, please contact the YFM director at

Deb Cacace - Volunteer

Hi my name is Deb Cacace. I enjoy volunteering with the youth because watching them awaken to the truth of their being brings me joy. I believe that we are empowering them with tricks and techniques to help them identify how they are feeling and ideas to help them get to a state of Love, Joy and Peace. Which I believe is their divine nature.

Terri Charles - Volunteer

Mother of three, veteran music and movement teacher, vocalist, song-writer, and actor – is passionate about teaching others to realize and develop themselves as artists. She provides a loving, emotionally safe environment where students feel supported and affirmed. Terri has facilitated several summer day camps for grade school students over the past ten years. She loves seeing them gain confidence and share their artistic selves with their loved ones in end-of-the-week performances.

Ann Chenhall - Volunteer

Raised in Corvallis, Ann graduated from Corvallis High and Oregon State University. In 1972, she earned her MA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Arizona, the same year Ann & Ray were married. Ann taught Art, then Fourth Grade for North Thurston Public Schools for her 21 year teaching career, first at Seven Oaks then at Pleasant Glade.
