    Thurston County Food Project -

Green bag pick-up date is Sunday, February 4th!

    Sharing Food. Building Community.

You want to help. We make it easy!

    Register Here!

You are invited to join with us in partnering with the Thurston County Food Project to provide food for our community via donations for the Thurston County Food Bank. Unity of Olympia member, Karen Reddick and her three children have been involved in this project for several years in her own neighborhood and they are extending their reach even further by collecting bags of food from  our Unity Community as well.

For the month of December we contributed to an overall, project-wide collection that resulted in a whopping $27,727 worth of food plus $5,460 in cash donations, resulting in a grand total value of $33,187! That's worth 18,235 meals! Together we make a difference.

Our next Green Bag Day is February 4th! Bring your bag full of non-perishable items to church that Sunday and see what we can do when we work together to help our community!

    Who we are:

    Physical, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual

If you are looking for authentic and meaningful conversation while hiking- that’s the goal. Every month the Unity Hiking group will plan a brisk less than 5-mile walking hike in the Puget Sound area that incorporates prayer, guided walking meditation, and other topics/ activities that help foster genuine connection and intellectual stimulation.

Please feel free to participate even if you do not want to hike. Bring a foldable chair and enjoy nature. We just ask you to use the buddy system and not be alone.

From now on, no RSVP needed. Hikes will start at the designated time.

    • Physical: When you feel physically rejuvenated, you naturally feel more uplifted on a mental and spiritual level. Walking on different terrains, pushing through steep inclines, and climbing promote cardiovascular fitness and endurance.

    • Emotional: Being in natural surroundings can help you obtain a different perspective on any problems you may currently be dealing with or worrying about.

    • Social: Soul experiences often include feelings of being connected to others. Hiking with a group can provide social benefits that enhance or promote benefits for your soul.

    • Spiritual: Hiking can help you connect with your idea of the Divine. You become aware of your soul's intention to connect with something larger than itself by sensing the majesty and wonder of nature.

    Meditation & Release Practice Group

Hosted by Rev. Terry and Susan McClure Thursdays 6:30 - 7:45pm in the Unity Classroom

Location: Temple Beth Hatfiloh - 201 8th Ave SE, Olympia

In this practice group, students will become well versed in Centering Prayer and have an opportunity to sample a variety of other meditation practices. Each week provides an opportunity to:

    • Know your oneness with that which we call God
    • Connect with one another using group & partner exercises
    • Release limiting beliefs and know the true self using using The Sedona Method
By turning within, we come to know ourselves and our Oneness more completely. By releasing with intention we find freedom to be who we've come here to be. Please arrive a few minutes early as the doors will be locked at 6:30. Conscious contributions may be made online or in person. Please register in advance if possible. Let them eat cake! Pancakes that is...

I am excited to announce that our Uniteen and YOU group will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser every 4th Sunday of the month! This feast will be provided in addition to regularly scheduled hospitality in the TBH Social Hall following Sunday service.

In an experiment of social equality, the Youth and I believe in allowing all who patronize our Sunday service to choose the best / most appropriate price for them. If folks who can pay a little more do, it will empower others to pay a little less when they need to. The outcome? Everyone will be able to eat!

Your contributions will go mainly to support tuition for Unity camps, as well as admission to youth team building happenings around the greater Puget Sound community.

Interested in submitting a donation to support our youth outside of the pancake breakfast? Click here to be directed to our donation form. Just be sure to select "Youth & Family Ministries" as the fund you are donating to.

There's Room for One More - Dinners for 6 to 8

    Register Here

Spiritual Community is co-created through your participation. We will join you with a group close to home and then you choose the dates and times that work best for you together. One meal a month, shared with members of your spiritual family, from April - August. Schedules will vary depending upon your group. The dates listed here are merely placeholders.

The primary purpose of these groups is to facilitate personal connection over a meal. Groups will be encouraged to have enough food so that an extra person (or maybe 2) new to our spiritual community - or even just new to you - could be invited for a single evening to get acquainted with more people and to see if Unity is a fit for them.

Register here before March 17th to get placed with a group!

Meeting Myself in the Bible - with Reverend Terry Murray

    Wednesdays, April 17 - June 5 at 2:00pm

In Unity we see the Bible as a record of humanity's evolving understanding of God, especially as seen through the Hebrew people. We also recognize it as a collection of myths and history woven together, inviting the reader into fascinating stories. The question then becomes, What does this have to do with me? With the tools of metaphysical interpretation and maieutics, this class can make the Bible come alive with meaning and possibility. Join Reverend Terry's SpiritGroup for laughter and discovery.
